Swimsuit to Bodysuit

So I've been wearing my one piece swimsuit as a top lately.  I don't know why I hadn't thought of this at the beginning of the Summer....
I just needed a chic, fitted top to tuck into my high waist pants and voila!

Instead of buying more tank tops, this one piece has been perfect for the look I'm going for.

Now that I've had this idea, a flood of more ideas for Fall and Winter  are flowing into my brain!  For example this would be awesome with a blazer or boucle cardigan, yes?
I'm excited to experiment further!

swimsuit: thrifted / pants: Cinema / earrings: Cinema / heels: Aldo

I picked up a pair of devastatingly glam earrings at Cinema, one of my favorite boutiques in the garment district.  I was instantly attracted to their jumbo size and just putting them on made me stand taller.  Mainly because they would sit on my shoulders if my posture was slumped.  Earrings that keep me mindful of how I carry myself.  That's a first.

Happy Friday and have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Hmm...good idea! And somewhat off-topic: my closet had gotten huge (due to me not being diligent), and as a result, my day to day look was so uninspired. After discovering ur blog, I've gone back to tiny and I look mighty fly, if I do say so myself. Keep the inspiration comin'! :)

  9. The sexy minimalism you give off in your clothing is so crucial to what fashion is nowadays. In a current world of wannabes who see fashion as a means to be different and careless and "weird," you exemplify that sometimes fashion can be simple and unique as well. That people don't have to try so hard.

As someone who is plus sized and who would love to see plus size bloggers who dress in/around your essence of simple and sexy, because I love that style, I don't. It's always bright and heavy and all over te place... So I go to the next bet thing: ANY bloggers who dresses simple and sexy. And you are it, hun. YOU ARE IT.

  14. I love your blog, have spent the past two weeks going back to review old posts. I will definitely try this on Saturday, black bathing suit, turquoise harem pants and black and white sweater for cool weather. I am 59 and I thought your style was too young for me, but your ideas about mixing styles and colors have energized me. Redid one of my closets (:) and found a pair of Red silk VS pajamas to lounge in. I AM LOVING ME SOME YOU RIGHT NOW. We won't even talk about the hair!!!!!!!1
